You have your own country house or summer cottage, then it's time to take care of acquiring a dog that will protect your home and yard from uninvited guests. But first of all, choose a place where the dog will live. To do this, take care of the construction of a kennel, which must be built in compliance with some simple rules.

Step 1
Calculate the dimensions of the future booth, based on the size of the dog and the temperature conditions in which the kennel will be operated. Remember that the internal space of the building will be very difficult to warm up if it is quite large. After entering the kennel, the dog should be able to turn around and lie down freely. To build a dog house, choose environmentally friendly and natural materials. The best building material for this is coniferous trees, it is simply not better to find it.
Step 2
Make the floor double warm. To do this, take two 40x40 bars, they should be equal in size to the width of the booth. Attach a floorboard to them and turn over. In the corners, install and fix four beams, the size of which should be 100x100, with a length equal to the height of the kennel. Leave a margin of 45 millimeters. Install two bars where there will be a hole (entrance) in the future.
Step 3
Install intermediate posts equal to the height of the kennel; in the future, the roof will be attached to them. Now start in the clapboard paneling, outside the frame. To do this, use galvanized nails with small heads. Pay particular attention to the verticality of the uprights.
Step 4
The ceiling must be removable. This is necessary so that it is convenient for you to clean the kennel, treating it with special formulations from parasites. To make a warm ceiling, use a 40x40 bar. Punch off a perimeter from a bar and wash it onto a sheet of plywood that is suitable for the size.
Step 5
Insulate the manufactured structure with mineral wool, foam or glassine. Attach a second sheet of plywood on top of the insulation. In order to make it convenient to remove the roof, make small handles on it on both sides. Treat the wooden lining with a special compound that will protect it from decay and fire.
Step 6
Fasten roofing material to the bottom of the kennel with a stapler and nail two beams (100x50) to the bottom. This will make the kennel warmer and provide good ventilation. Beat the fillet in the corners and bottom of the booth. Frame the manhole and sill.
