Choose a location for the booth
It should be noted that a shepherd dog is a watchdog. Consequently, all protected objects should be clearly visible from her "house" - a gate, a gate, an entrance to a house, outbuildings. It is recommended to choose the south side for the booth, especially if the dog will spend the winter in his "house". However, care must be taken to ensure that the dog has the opportunity to lie in the shade in the summer. It's good if there is some tree next to the booth. You cannot build a kennel for a shepherd dog in the lowlands - it will be too damp in the dog's "house".
Step 2
Measure the shepherd dog and determine the size of the booth
A good booth is custom-built. Measure the height at the withers, subtract 5 cm and you get the height of the booth manhole. Add 8 cm to the size for the width of the chest - you get the required width of the hole. The length from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail will correspond to the width of the booth, and the height of the dog will correspond to the height of its new "house".
Step 3
Build the bottom of the booth
Saw off two 40x40 pieces. The length of the bars must match the width of the booth. Sew a floorboard onto the planks. Turn the structure over. Install 100x100 bars in each corner. The length of the bars should be equal to the height of the booth + 50 mm. Place two 40x40 blocks in the place where the hole is supposed to be made. Install intermediate posts. The length of the posts must match the height of the booth.
Step 4
Sheathe the outside of the booth with clapboard.
Step 5
Make a ceiling
Assemble the ceiling contour from a 40x40 bar. Insert spacers and wash a sheet of plywood. Insulate the structure with foam or mineral wool. Sew on the top plywood sheet.
Step 6
Saturate the bottom of the booth with special compounds that prevent decay. Fasten the roofing material to the bottom with a stapler. Nail two 100x50 beams to the bottom.
Step 7
Insulate the walls and floor. To do this, cover the walls and floor of the booth with glassine, securing it with a stapler. Lay in insulation and another layer of glassine. Nail in the finished floor.
Step 8
Make a roof
The roof of the booth, as well as the ceiling, must be removable. Make gables and sheathe the perimeter with clapboard. Drive metal studs into the ends of the corner beams. Drill pins holes in the gables. Install the gables. Make and nail the crate. Put the roofing felt on the roof, and then the bituminous shingles, attaching it with a stapler. The shepherd's booth is ready.
