Raising a dog is an indispensable condition, the purpose of which is to grow out of it an obedient and balanced four-legged friend.
Instructions
Step 1
Raising a dog is a very responsible and demanding activity, patience and time. Therefore, it is not recommended to assign this responsibility to a child under 7 years of age.
The most important rule when raising a dog is never yell or hit it. A frightened and unbalanced animal will grow up, with which you will be ashamed to appear on the street.
Step 2
If the dog is guilty of something, speak to him in a stern tone. Moreover, at the time of the commission of the offense, and not in any way after some time after that. Dogs, like children, do not have a developed sense of time, and what the dog has done will be completely forgotten in 5 minutes.
Step 3
Don't expect your parenting to have a positive effect right away. It may take a few of these "serious conversations" for the dog to understand that this should not be done.
Do not use verbose tirades, say simple words: "no" or "fu".
Step 4
Find out the reason why the dog did this. For example, if she chews on shoes or the legs of a chair, she is most likely teething. Just give her such a thing - a stick or a toy - that she can chew on for her pleasure.
There should be a lot of toys, do not skimp on them for your friend. Play with your dog often, at least with a ball. It will bring pleasure to both of you.
Step 5
If other people's things have been gnawed, there is only one way out - put them away, where the dog cannot get them. In general, the appearance of a dog in the house leads, as a rule, to an improvement in self-organization and self-discipline. You need to get used to removing everything that lies, stands or hangs (pencils, flowers, tablecloth), otherwise the thing will be damaged and, mind you, through your fault.
Step 6
Gradually accustom your puppy to the collar and leash. It should not be so that they put on and immediately dragged for a walk. Of course, he will be frightened and will break free.
Put on the collar for a few minutes, stroking and soothing the pupil with gentle words. Then remove. Repeat this operation several times a day for at least 3 days.
Then start attaching the leash to the collar.
Once you make sure that new things no longer scare your pet, go outside.
Step 7
Teams are learned with treats. When teaching your dog to sit and lie down, show him how to do it. Repeating the required command and pressing your fingers on the dog's sacrum, force it to sit down, and then, pulling its front paws forward, lie down. Do not forget to praise your pet for understanding and reward with treats and affectionate words.
Step 8
As a reward, one small crouton or a ball of dog food is enough. The reward earned is the tastiest and sweetest one. Do not overfeed your pet.
Step 9
Try not to take the lesson too long, 5 minutes at a time is enough. Lessons should be interspersed with games. Then your pupil will not lose interest in learning.
Step 10
Stop the puppy's attempts to bark at everyone on the street. Pull it in a stern voice, otherwise a "gibberish" will grow.
Step 11
Remember that only love and affection can ensure that your pet will eventually become obedient and well-mannered.
