Pond breeding of carp has been an integral part of the peasant economy in Russia for hundreds of years. Crucian carp were bred in any suitable reservoir. Crucians lived superbly in village ponds designed to water cattle or dug vegetable gardens for watering. They also made special ponds of shallow depth, about 5x5 m in size. In a later period, they practiced the simultaneous breeding of crucian carp and carp (carp), which perfectly get along with each other. True, for the joint maintenance of these fish, larger reservoirs are needed. You can breed crucians in your summer cottage.
It is necessary
- - a pond;
- - sheets of stainless steel or aluminum;
- - boat motor;
- - a leaky bucket;
- - cereal compound feed or feed grain;
- - fishing accessories;
- - young carp;
- - breeding carp;
- - pike.
Instructions
Step 1
There are 2 ways of breeding crucian carp in a summer cottage or garden plot. The first method is summer rearing of underyearlings to commercial size. Even small reservoirs with a size of 4.5x6 m and a depth of 0.5 to 1.5 m are suitable for this purpose. The reservoirs should not dry out.
Step 2
Take young of the year carp in any fishery in an amount of up to 20 pieces for the above size of the reservoir. Plant the underyearlings in the spring, after opening the reservoir. Crucian carp is an omnivorous fish. He can eat both animal food, obtained by the fish itself in the pond, and plant foods, which are used as steamed grain or peas, mixed feed for pigs, unsalted cereals. If possible, feed the crucians with special food specially for them.
Step 3
Feed the carp 1-2 times a day at the same time. For feeding, it is best to use the so-called feeding tables. In this capacity, you can use sheets of aluminum or stainless steel. Submerge the leaf in water to a depth of more than half a meter or to the bottom. Throw food on the sheets at a certain time. The food should be eaten within 20-30 minutes. Remove uneaten food after this time. If the feed is not removed, the water in the pond will deteriorate.
Step 4
During the season, the underyearlings should reach a commercial size and weight of 200-300 g. In the fall, catch all the crucians, because otherwise they may be killed by a lack of oxygen.
Step 5
The second way is direct breeding. It needs producers. As producers, it is best to take goldfish from a natural reservoir. Among the crucians, there may be some silver. In this case, the pond must be larger and at least 1.5 m deep. The pond must have aquatic vegetation. Feeding carp is the same as in the previous case. The catch is done in autumn.
Step 6
In winter, to avoid death, make ice holes in the ice. For winter aeration of water, electric motors with activators on the axle are used. They are lowered into a wormwood in a protective casing from a bucket perforated with a nail. There should be a lot of holes, but their size should be such that fish cannot swim there. A so-called aeration channel is also used. This is an outlet from the reservoir, covered with a fish-protecting net, in which a boat motor with a propeller is installed.
Step 7
With direct breeding, crucian carp may begin to shrink, since after spawning, the number of fry in the reservoir is large. They oppress each other and prevent large individuals from growing. To combat this phenomenon, plant a small (25-30 cm) pike in the reservoir. At the end of summer, you can fish it with a spoon.
