However, some dog breeds - such as Yorkshire Terriers, Pomeranians, Toy Terriers or Dachshunds - may have problems changing all of their teeth.

As a preventive measure, give the puppy toys made of hard rubber, special bones from veins, dog biscuits and crackers. Gnawing on solid food and toys, the baby looses milk teeth, and they leave the gums without any problems.

If, upon examination, you notice that the milk tooth has not fallen out, and the permanent one is already beginning to erupt, take urgent measures. Place a sterile gauze pad around your fingers and gently grasp the tooth. Rock it gently. If he gives in and the puppy is not worried, increase the pressure slightly and try to extend the incisor or canine. Usually, puppies are calm about changing teeth - unless they begin to chew toys and other surrounding objects more actively.
