But, unfortunately, the Pekingese is too common a dog. A large percentage of people buy puppies not through clubs from breeders, but at bird markets or through advertisements from random sellers. In such a situation, one involuntarily has to think about how to feed a Pekingese puppy.

Regardless of what type of feeding you prefer for your Pekingese - ready-made food, natural products or mixed food, feed the puppy depending on its age (from 1 to 12 months) and its needs 3-6 times a day. Provide your dog with free access to water at all times. But never leave food freely available. Set the bowl of food in for no more than 30-40 minutes. Then put it away, even if there is food left in it.
Step 2
If you decide to feed your Pekingese puppy ready-made food, then choose a higher quality "Premium" or "Super Premium" class food. Do not feed your puppy with "Economy" class food - there is little that is useful for the dog in such food. Purchase a special "puppy" food for your baby and feed it according to the table on the package. Usually, the ratio of feed per day to the weight (age) of the dog varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, so pay attention to the manufacturer's recommendations. The same applies to canned food.
Step 3
With natural feeding, give the puppy not only meat and offal, but also cereals, vegetables, fruits, dairy products. The daily diet of a four-legged friend should contain about 80% of products of animal origin, the rest is vegetable products. Boil the puppy with rice or buckwheat porridge in water or meat broth (you can also cook millet, but this cereal is too heavy, so you should not give it every day). Cook milk semolina several times a week without added sugar. Add ¼ teaspoon of honey instead of sugar. You can cook mixed cereals from the same amount of rice, buckwheat and millet. Sometimes boil porridge (milk or water) from oatmeal.
Step 4
From meat, feed the dog only beef or chicken frozen for 3-5 days or boiled. Add meat to porridge in the form of minced meat or in pure form. In addition to meat, feed the puppy beef or chicken offal 3-4 times a week: heart, liver, kidneys, lung, rumen. Boil the heart, kidneys, lungs and give them in small pieces, or give them frozen, after thawing them. Give the liver in small quantities 1-2 times a week and only boiled. It is advisable to give the tripe raw.
Step 5
Avoid giving your puppy bones, especially tubular bones. They do not bring any benefits, but they can cause irreparable harm. Instead, buy dried offal from the pet store as a treat. And feed them a little every day. Also offer raw fruits and vegetables for treats, excluding those that cause bloating and gas. Sometimes it is good to give dried fruit.
Step 6
Give Pekingese low-fat cottage cheese and boiled egg yolk 2-3 times a week. You can give raw quail egg yolk. Before feeding, grind the yolk and mix it with the curd. For better digestion and wool quality, add 0.5 teaspoon of vegetable oil or a few drops of linseed oil to cereals daily.
When feeding natural food, be sure to give your puppy vitamins every day.
