Sometimes people do not have pets, explaining that there is no one to leave them with during their vacation. But is this really a problem? There are several options where you can attach an animal for a couple of weeks.
Friends or acquaintances. Perhaps one of them will agree to regularly go to your house, feed and, if necessary, walk. And perhaps even for some time he will live at your house or take the animal to him.
From the pros: you do not have to give your pet into unfamiliar hands.
Of the minuses: it is important that a person is not only responsible, but also has experience in communicating with animals. Unfortunately, this is not always the case with acquaintances.
Pet hotel or overexposure. In the first case, the pet is most likely guaranteed a separate aviary, two meals a day, a walking area and medical assistance. The second is home care.
However, there are also pitfalls here. Without a veterinary passport with vaccination marks, your animal will not be accepted into a decent institution. It is also worth concluding a written agreement with the owner of the hotel. You need to see in advance what kind of staff at the hotel. It is desirable that these people have some kind of veterinary education, so that help can be provided on time, or that an agreement be concluded between the hotel and the veterinary clinic. In this case, if suddenly your animal needs veterinary care, it will be provided.
If the animal is not socialized or you think that in a large company of other animals it will feel bad, then it makes sense to find a home hotel or overexposure. There are people who specifically do this. They can take the animal to their home for a while.
If the pet has a special diet or any health problems, be sure to inform the hotel staff or the owner of the overexposure. Better yet, make up instructions for them: what and when to feed, what medicines to give.
It is also worth planning a trip to the vet before your trip. Firstly, during the period of separation, chronic diseases can be exacerbated. Secondly, the doctor will advise sedatives, they may come in handy.
A day's stay in a specialized hotel for animals will cost you from 300 to 800 rubles + food. Home overexposure will cost less - from 200 to 400 rubles.
Think about how your pet might be uncomfortable without a master. Try to surround your pet with familiar things, such as a litter box, bedding, and favorite toys. If possible, take your pet on an excursion to his future holiday home. Having mastered in advance, he will feel much more comfortable, and you will go to rest with a calm heart.
