Chihuahua dogs are very affectionate, playful and kind. They are strongly attached to the owner, easily get along with other animals, and love children. However, like any dog, it takes time to get used to the new environment.
Instructions
Step 1
One of the virtues of the Chihuahua is silence. This dog will never bark just like that. Only very nervous dogs bark more often than usual, but this can only be the cost of improper upbringing, for example, if you scream in the presence of a dog, or, conversely, spoil it too much. Take good care of the dog and take good care of it, and the animal will be discreet.
Step 2
The second positive quality of this breed is the ability to habituate to a home toilet, similar to a cat. If most dogs relieve themselves on the street, then the Chihuahua is an exception. However, if you still want your dog to relieve themselves outside like a normal dog, train it to empty at a time that is convenient for your family. Walk your dog for the first time at about eight to nine o'clock in the morning, then twice in the afternoon and once in the evening at 20 o'clock, but do not train him to go to the toilet too early in the morning or late at night, so that this does not become a system. Beginning in cold autumn, wear a jumpsuit on the dog so that it does not catch cold.
Step 3
In bad weather, when it is undesirable to walk your pet, you can use a regular cat litter box or even a cloth as a toilet for it. This is convenient for both the owner and the animal. During the period when the walking of the animal stops, remove carpets and rugs for a while. To help your dog understand what is required of him, soak a cloth in his own urine. Purchase a special spray from the pet store to treat those items that cannot be relieved. You can also put the bowls from which the dog eats in the appropriate places - he will not arrange a toilet next to them.
Step 4
It doesn't take long to prepare food for a Chihuahua. The dog is undemanding to food and eats very little. Her diet should be varied. If you leave her alone during the day, teach her to dry food. Also make sure she always has fresh water.
Step 5
It is necessary to walk the dog even if it is accustomed to the litter box, since only on a walk can it frolic for pleasure. Try, however, to furnish the house so that it does not touch anything, since the Chihuahua will also try to frolic indoors. Always praise her for good behavior, and scold her for bad behavior. Pet your dog often to keep him feeling attentive and cared for. Do not leave her alone at home for a long time.
