Now they are tiny dogs with big ears and expressive eyes. They come in both smooth-haired and long-haired. The training of these dogs has its own characteristics that must be taken into account by all owners.

Chihuahua puppies are best trained from two and a half to three months. It makes no sense to take babies from a breeder before. Chihuahuas are quite gentle dogs and should not be weaned from their mother early.

Once you bring your puppy into the house, give it time to adapt. Treat him lovingly, but do not bore the baby. Schedule your schedule so that your dog has time for both play and adequate sleep and rest.

The very first command a puppy needs to learn is its own name. He must understand that when the owner pronounces his nickname, he must distract himself from all activities and carefully listen to what he is told.

So that the baby gets used to the nickname quickly, learn it before eating. Place a bowl of tidbits on the floor and call your puppy by name. He will definitely run up to you.

Three to four days of this kind of training will give excellent results. The puppy will definitely learn its own nickname.

Chihuahuas are compact dogs. And their puppies are very young. It is not at all necessary to take them out to send their natural needs out into the street.

To teach your puppy to defecate in the tray, you first need to provide the baby with an area where he can run freely and relieve his natural needs. This can be a fenced-off part of the room or a small aviary. Cover the floor with newspapers. Remove some of the newspapers every day, leaving one marked with a dog.

Then place a tray in the corner of the enclosure and place the paper marked by the puppy. So the baby will understand that you can only go to the toilet there. Let the little Chihuahua live in the aviary for a few more days to consolidate the skill. As soon as there are no puddles in the wrong places, it can be released to run throughout the apartment.

Then the puppy is taught the commands "fu", "no", "to me". These are the basic lessons your toddler should remember. All the rest - "give a paw", "sit", "lie down" and so on, are taught at will. Chihuahua is a decorative breed, not a service breed, so it is not at all necessary to train a large number of teams.

Most importantly, remember that your little Chihuahua is very fragile. Handle it very carefully when training or playing. Any careless movement can harm him. Therefore, it is better to act firmly, but affectionately, in no case using force.
