Step 1
Buy a tray with low sides for your baby. Some dog breeders lay newspaper absorbent diapers and even car mats. In any case, choose according to your taste, but take into account the preferences of the dog. Do not choose a tray with a mesh, the baby is unlikely to appreciate it.
Step 2
Be patient and be extremely careful, try to watch the animal whenever possible. If the dog wants to go to the toilet, the behavior changes, a bustle begins and a short search for a suitable place. In this case, take the puppy to the toilet and gently explain what is allowed here, but not in the room.
Step 3
If the carpet still attracted the chuhuahua with its nap and nothing can be done, take a regular cloth and dab it in the urine, and then put it in the tray. Dogs have a keen sense of smell and prefer to go to the toilet where they have already left scent. A rag in the litter box will lure the puppy into an interest in the toilet. But from the carpet, thoroughly remove the smell with any product containing chlorine.
Step 4
If the baby simply did not have time to reach the tray, then the route to it is too long and needs to be shortened. Add another tray or just lay out a newspaper. The next time, when in dire need, the puppy will use a spare toilet seat and will not make a puddle on the floor.
Step 5
In pet stores they sell the "Repeller-Antipis" agent, it scares away with its smell from strictly prohibited places of going to the toilet, and the baby bypasses them. Treat the required area of the room with this product. It usually works well and the puppy tries not to do wet things in the treated area.
Step 6
Praise your puppy periodically and remind him of the litter box. Do not despair if something does not work out, over time the Chihuahua will master the place for toilet affairs and stop wetting such an attractive carpet for him.
