Small dogs are almost like children. They are fed by the hour, and the diet is coordinated with the doctor, and dressed up, and even decorated. Moreover, the pet products industry has made great strides forward. However, if you wish, you can easily create a unique decoration - a bow - for your pet with your own hands.
It is necessary
- - wide ribbon of any color;
- -the tape is wide and narrow in a different color (preferably contrasting);
- - decoration (rhinestones, beads);
- - fastening for a bow. You can use the base of a regular children's hairpin.
Instructions
Step 1
First, cut a piece of the main wide tape. The length of the piece should be approximately 22 cm. At the same time, cut a second piece of tape (now use additional fabric). It should be slightly shorter in length than the base one. Since it is best to take a satin ribbon for making a bow, use a lighter to process its edges. This is necessary so that they do not fluff.
Step 2
Fold the ring out of the main tape. Its size depends on how big you want the bow to be. You can adjust its diameter by placing the overlap in the desired way (more or less). Now also wind the second (additional) tape in a similar ring. But to create a beautiful bow, it should also be slightly smaller than the main one. After adjusting the second ring, place it over the first. To do this, pinch both rings in the middle with your finger.
Step 3
Clip the tapes together. To do this, you need to sew them together. Match the thread to the color of the additional ribbon. After all, it is she who is located on the front side. You need to sew so that you can make a bow by pulling the end of the thread.
Step 4
Thanks to this simple manipulation, the bow is ready. Now you need to decorate it and attach it to the base of the hairpin. Cut a small strip of tape from the additional one. Only this strip should be thin. After all, it will only serve as the middle of the bow, while covering the place where the parts are sewn. Sew it up from the back so that no seams are visible.
Step 5
Now you can sew an ornament (bead or rhinestone) on the front, just on this middle ribbon. You can not do this, leaving just the ribbon. After that, attach the base to which the bow should be attached. This can be a clip from a hair clip, and a rag hoop (to put on a neck). Sew it on. That's it, the bow is ready!
