This is a wonderful cheerful friend who, despite his miniature size, successfully copes with the task of guarding the house, notifying the arrival of guests with a sonorous bark. The main decoration of this dog is wool, so you need to know how to properly wash Yorkies so that your baby always has a healthy and well-groomed appearance.

Step 1
Depending on what type of coat the dog has, you need to wash it once a week - ten days. If the coat is dry, then it is necessary to wash it more often - the better the dog's coat is moistened, the easier it will be for it to maintain its show form.
Step 2
You can bathe a Yorkie in a shared bath by laying a rug or a small towel on the bottom to prevent the feet from slipping. Bathing water should be running so that the dirt is completely washed off the coat.
Step 3
You can use ordinary baby shampoo, previously slightly diluted with water, to wash the Yorkie, but before exhibitions it is better to bathe the dog with special shampoos designed for this breed. When choosing such a professional shampoo, consider your pet's coat type and color.
Step 4
The shampoo should be applied twice - after the first time the dirt will be washed off, and after the second time the wool will receive the necessary care and cleansing, after which you can, by running your hand over the wet wool, hear a characteristic creak.
Step 5
It is necessary to wash the soaped wool, passing smoothly with your hands in the direction of its growth along the belly and sides, trying not to confuse it. It is not necessary to rub the wool, it is enough that it is completely covered with soapy water.
Step 6
Begin shampooing, being careful not to get water into your ears and nose. You can use a ladle instead of a shower, from which a stream of water will wash off the shampoo only from specific areas of the dog's body. The balm conditioner is applied with the same movements. It should also be diluted with water before application. The balm should remain on the coat for 5-7 minutes, and then it should be washed off with warm water until the water becomes slightly cloudy. After applying the conditioner, the coat should not squeak; some balm should remain on it to facilitate further combing.
Step 7
Squeeze the terrier coat lightly and wrap it in a towel. Do not rub it on the dog's body, wait until all excess moisture is absorbed, and replace the towel with a dry one. After it absorbs the remaining moisture, start brushing your handsome man.
