One of the most popular pets is the Dzungarian hamster. This little fluffy creature is able to bring a smile on the face not only of a child, but also of an adult. In order for Dzungarian hamsters to give birth to their owners only delight and affection, from time to time these animals need to be washed.
Instructions
Step 1
Dzungarian hamsters are very clean animals. They wash and comb the fur with their paws every day. Therefore, it is not recommended to wash these animals often. If you notice any slightest, barely noticeable dirt on the fur, do not rush to shove the hamster into the water. Instead of bathing, which is a real stress for him, clean the animal with an ordinary damp cloth.
Step 2
If the Dzungarian hamster manages to get dirty so that the pollution cannot be cleaned even with a damp cloth, you cannot do without bathing. A good reason for this procedure, which is unpleasant for the animal, is also the appearance of parasites in it.
Step 3
Dzungarian hamsters should be washed only in warm water, but never in hot water. Fill it in a small container, such as a bowl or plastic bowl.
Step 4
Moisten the hamster's fur. Make sure that water does not get into the eyes and ears of the animal. Remember, any shampoo has a tendency to lather a lot. Therefore, lather your pet very gently, literally with one finger. With slight contamination, you can do without the use of shampoo.
Step 5
If you notice any parasites in the animal's fur, use a special antiparasitic shampoo to wash your hamster, which can be purchased at any pet store.
Step 6
Rinse the foam off the hamster's fur very carefully. Use plenty of warm water for this. Be careful not to get it in the eyes and ears of the animal. In the end, make sure that all the foam from the fur and the body of the hamster is washed away.
Step 7
Dry your hamster's fur thoroughly after bathing with a soft towel or hair dryer set to the lightest drying mode. Dzungarian hamsters are extremely prone to colds, so dry their fur until you are sure that the baby is not cold. Remember that a wet hamster is very vulnerable to drafts.
