It is important for each dog to have its own place in the house. It should be somewhere in a secluded corner so that the animal can rest there calmly. You can equip such a place with a soft and cozy lounger, where your dog will be pleasant, comfortable and warm. Pet stores today have a large assortment of these products, but you can make this accessory yourself.

Step 1
If you want to make a bed for a dog with high sides, you will need: furniture foam rubber 4 -5 cm thick, foam glue, fabric for upholstery, holofiber. First, cut the foam rubber into two parts of the sizes you need: a round bottom of the bed of a suitable diameter, and a side height from 20 to 40 centimeters, depending on the size of the pet, and a length equal to the circumference of the bottom. Take a long bead piece and cut off the top corners at a 30-degree angle from its edges to make an entrance.
Step 2
When trying on foam parts, make a pattern on the fabric, remembering to leave seam allowances equal to the width of the foam plus two centimeters. You should have four fabric pieces: two round for the bottom, and two long for the side.
Step 3
Sew the round foam cover, leaving a hole for inserting it inside. Slide the bottom piece into the cover and sew the hole.
Step 4
Take a pattern from the bead fabric and sew the shreds along the long sides. Slip the foam rubber into the resulting sleeve. Close the resulting bead in a ring, glue the edges of the foam rubber and sew up the fabric cover.
Step 5
Connect the side and bottom and secure them with glue, stapler or thread.
Step 6
Sew a pillowcase for the pillow you will place on the bottom of the lounger. To do this, cut out two round parts with a diameter of 10 - 15 cm larger than the diameter of the bottom. Sew them from the inside out, leaving a small hole. Turn out the pillowcase, fill it with chlorofiber, sew up the hole and place the pillow in the lounger.
Step 7
If you do not want to make high sides for the sunbed, you can sew it in another way. You will need foam rubber, upholstery fabric, and decorative cord. Cut a round or rectangular bottom of the required size out of foam rubber and sew it over with a cloth.
Step 8
Further, if the lounger is round, sew a sleeve 10-15 cm wide and 20-30 cm shorter than the bottom circumference. Roll a roll of foam rubber with a diameter equal to the width of the fabric sleeve and 10 cm shorter than its length. Slide the roller into the sleeve so that there is five centimeters of loose fabric at each end. Tie the edges of the roller with a decorative cord and sew it to the bottom of the bed. If you decide to make the bottom rectangular, you will have to sew four soft rolls for each side of the bottom. A soft, cozy and beautiful bed for your pet is ready!
