Be kind
Animals have a surprisingly subtle sense of your attitude towards them. Therefore, if you dislike (or fear) your dog, he will most likely understand this and begin to respond in kind. Even if you do not like dogs, do not look at the animal as your enemy or a source of eternal trouble. Find positive aspects in it, such as loyalty. Gradually, you will be able to get used to the dog, the main thing is that you are generally kind to it: do not punish for nothing, do not humiliate, do not shout, and, of course, do not let go of your hands (and legs too). Such actions will never endear an animal to you.
Punishment? Only well deserved.
Even if the puppy, who has "bent" in the corridor, deserves a fair punishment, do not rush to grab the sneaker to whip the naughty animal. Remember: the animal may not understand some things, for example, that it is forbidden to shit in the wrong places. And cruel punishments easily traumatize his psyche, but is it possible to achieve love and trust in this way? Try softer ways: classic "fu", "scary" eyes, light slap (but don't hurt the dog, just let him know that she did wrong), ignoring for a couple of hours.
Play it!
Many dogs love to play, rush around the street for a ball or a stick, overcome various obstacles. You have to go outside every day so that the dog can satisfy its natural needs. However, sometimes, if time permits, you can arrange recreational walks. They will please both the dog and the owner himself. Take a ball outside, play hide and seek, go to the forest - there are many different games that will delight the animal and help you win over it.
And finally, one more common truth: if you sincerely want to make friends with an animal, then everything will definitely work out for you. Over time, in response to your good attitude, you will receive both love and devotion, you will find a real, faithful friend in the person of a dog.
