Step 1
It is better to start teaching Alabai from the age of 2-2, 5 months. Before that, the puppy is still too young, and will perceive training as a game. And dogs older than 3 months are already learning some skills, and it will be quite difficult to retrain them.
Step 2
Puppy training begins with teaching a nickname. It is best to do this before feeding and while playing. After placing food in a bowl, hold it in your hands and call the dog by name. When the puppy comes running, give praise and place the bowl on the floor. During the game, take the dog's favorite toy in your hand, twirl it, attracting attention. Call your puppy. When he comes running - praise, give the toy. Practice shows that 2-3 days of training are enough for smart Alabai to remember their name.
Step 3
The command "no" must be carried out unquestioningly. In training, you will have to pull yourself together and be strict, since cute Alabai puppies are able to pity anyone. If you see that the dog is doing something that is forbidden, walk up to it and press your hands on the back closer to the tail. The puppy will sit on the floor and be distracted from business. Look into his eyes and say strictly - "no". Hold for a few seconds, pressing to the floor, and release. If the puppy obeys - praise and give a treat. If you started all over again, repeat your actions. Get your toddler to stop doing what is forbidden for him. Only then praise and feed.
Step 4
Another important command for large dogs is “to me”. Studying it is especially valuable if the Alabai lives in the city. During a walk, he can scare passers-by with his formidable appearance, they will be confused, they will begin to perform strange actions in the opinion of the dog. For example, wave your arms. Alabai will rush to defend himself and the owner and can seriously injure a person. To prevent this from happening, learn the command "to me". First, training takes place with a leash. Release the puppy 2-3 meters away from you. Then call the nickname and shout "to me." When the baby comes running - praise.
