To impede the free movement of the dog around the apartment and to avoid all sorts of problems in the form of wool on carpets, gnawed furniture, etc., it is worth using the simplest device - an aviary. You can assemble such a structure with your own hands. It is very easy, for example, to independently make an aviary for a dog in an apartment in the form of a decorative fence made of narrow boards.

- - 40 boards 100x10 mm, length 65 cm;
- - 4 slats 20x20 mm 153 cm long;
- - 4 slats 20x20 mm 100 cm long;
- - 2 slats 20x20 mm 36 cm long;
- - rail 20x20 mm, 40 cm long;
- - short wood screws with decorative caps;

Instructions
Step 1
Cut the planks from above at an angle, much like a picket fence for a regular fence. To get a neat dog enclosure, use a template. If your household has a suitable tool, chamfer two corners of each board. Sand the wood, for example, with a flap wheel grinder.
Step 2
Assemble the upper and lower aviary frames from the slats. Fasten the slats with corners, placing the short ones between the long ones. Use 4 corners for each frame. Keep in mind that you can make a homemade dog enclosure with your own hands durable using only sufficiently long corners.
Step 3
Attach four planks to the short sides of the frames along the edges. Self-tapping screws with wood-like or beige caps are best suited for the enclosure-fence. You can use two or four fasteners per board. Secure the four corner boards along the edges to the long sides of the frames. Fasten the intermediate boards in 3 cm increments. Install only 8 boards on one of the long sides.
Step 4
Saw three boards into pieces of 20 and 45 cm. Sand the ends with sandpaper. Fasten the 40 cm long strip to the outermost boards in the opening formed in the opening. Place it at a height of 20 cm from the floor. Connect the 45 cm pieces with 36 cm strips at the bottom and top. Attach the resulting gate to the structure with hinges.
Step 5
If it is supposed to keep a small puppy in the aviary, it is worth filling the bottom of the resulting "fence" from below. This will protect the floor of the apartment from pollution, and the pet itself from the draft. You can make the floor for the aviary from plywood or chipboard. It is worth screwing the lower frame to it before packing the boards.
Step 6
Oil for wood is a great answer to the question of how to make a beautiful enclosure for a dog in an apartment. Cover with this product all the elements of the resulting structure in two layers. The oil will accentuate the natural structure of the wood. You can also varnish or paint the enclosure. In the latter case, it is worth choosing a paint that is in harmony with the overall color scheme of the apartment's interior.
Step 7
Finally, dry your dog enclosure for a few days. Place a comfy bed for your pet inside, or place a cushioned booth from a pet store. Run inside your pet. At first, until the dog gets used to its new place, close the gate of the aviary. To do this, attach a small hook to it.
