This method can only determine sex in sexually mature birds. The male black cockatoo has a very dark beak, and the female has light specks on it.

Females begin to differ from males after the first molt by the presence of dark spots on the inner side of the wing and transverse stripes on the tail. And males can betray themselves by singing. It lasts only a little over two weeks, during which time the birds must be marked.

Adult cockatiels differ in character and body constitution. Females are calmer, rounded, harmonious; they sit on the perch, squatting and spreading their legs wide. And the males are energetic, brightly colored, slender, often in the presence of the female they knock on the cage with their beak.

You can determine the sex of the budgerigar by the color of the wax, in adult males it is painted in shades of blue and purple, and in females in brown tones and has a white border.
