The velvet season begins, and those who have not had time to rest in the summer go to warm lands. Sometimes we have to take our smaller brothers with us. Each country has its own restrictions on the import of animals, but you should pay attention to the general rules.

Instructions

Step 1

40-45 days before the trip, give your pet a rabies vaccine and others prescribed by a veterinarian (be sure to tell the doctor which country you are going to). Make sure he has stamped and signed your pet's passport. After vaccinations, the animal cannot be walked outside for 10-12 days.

Step 2

Two weeks before departure, carry out the treatment for worms and ectoparasites. This fact must be recorded in the animal's passport.

Step 3

When buying a ticket, make sure that the airline of your choice is engaged in transporting pets. Inform the operator about the need to transport the animal when booking a ticket. Check the conditions of carriage. Usually it is allowed to carry one animal weighing no more than 8 kilograms in the cabin together with the cage. Larger pets are transported in the hold.

Step 4

2 days before the trip, contact the district veterinary clinic and receive a document for the export of the animal. When traveling to the countries of the European Union and some other countries, the animal should be implanted with a chip under the skin.

Step 5

Choose a comfortable carrier for your pet. It shouldn't be too tight. Place the carrier on the floor and start training your animal to use it. Leave pieces of treats in the carrier, encourage if the animal enters it.

Step 6

Head to the veterinary clinic the day before your trip and go through a clinical examination of the animal. Get the appropriate stamp on your pet's passport. Reduce the portions of your pet's food.

Step 7

Put the animal in the carrier, put some food and water there. Go through veterinary control at the airport 3-4 hours before departure. Show the documents: animal passport, export document and a certificate for the chip (if there was chipping). Get an International Animal Export Certificate.

Step 8

Register and weigh the animal together with the cage. Pay this weight as super baggage.

Step 9

After arrival, go through veterinary control and go to the resting place.
