Cats, unlike dogs, do not like to travel. They get used to the place, to the house and all those familiar objects that surround them. But sometimes it is just necessary to transport the animal to another place, to the country house or to the village. A change of residence does not have the best effect on her psyche. Therefore, the animal must be prepared in advance for an unplanned trip for it, or everything must be done very carefully.

Step 1
Buy a carrier. It is better to do this in advance. If you bought a carrier beforehand, then let the cat explore a new place, let her sniff it, perhaps even recognizing it as a place to sleep. Do not interfere with the animal, let it master.
Step 2
Do not feed your cat before the trip, she may become ill. Gently take the cat in your hands, stroke, and while talking affectionately with the animal, put it in the carrier. The cat must feel the presence of the owner, otherwise panic may begin.
Step 3
If you have had any unfortunate travel experiences with an animal, call your veterinarian. He will give an injection of sleeping pills, and the cat will sleep peacefully all the way. This is much more humane than scoffing at an animal that is catastrophically afraid of riding in a carrier or has a hard time traveling.
Step 4
If it is possible to carry the cat in your arms, then use it. The animal will be calmer this way.
Step 5
Give your pet some water after the ride, and feed it after an hour. Do not forget to keep an eye on the cat, any trip is stressful for her. Make sure that she does not get lost in an unfamiliar place, it is better not to let her walk for a while. After full adaptation to the change of residence, the cat's behavior will return to normal.
