In principle, pigs are pretty omnivorous, so they will eat whatever you put in their feeder, but this does not mean that you can feed them all sorts of rubbish, because what kind of meat you get from this animal depends on the quality of the feed.

Set aside feeding hours and feed the pig as much as it can eat at one time. If you give her more, the food will stagnate in the trough, sour. Before the next feed, you will need to manually scrub the trough or add fresh feed to the sour feed. It is advisable not to allow either one or the other.

Pigs, unlike cows, have a single stomach and are unable to digest whole grains. They will have it, but most of it will not be digested and will be translated in vain. Therefore, it is better to grind and brew cereals for pigs with hot water. Such porridge-mash will saturate the animal and quench its thirst, but in the summer the pig must be given additional water, it, like a person, is sensitive to heat.
Step 4
Pigs are happy to eat green fodder, so they can be fed with silage, harvested brilliant green and even simple weeds from the garden. But before giving the grass to the animal, chop it into pieces of 5-10 cm, the pig will scatter whole plants around the pen, which you then have to clean further.
Step 5
Kitchen waste can also be used as pig feed, but always be careful about its quality. Potato peelings should be free of greens and sprouts, vegetable trimmings should be free of rot and mold, and so on.
Step 6
Decide initially what exactly you want to get from your pig. The more vegetables, root crops and other bulk crops contained in its feed, the more meat and less fat the animal will have. Conversely, feeding with crushed grains and cereals promotes the formation of a large fat layer. The fat thickness of a well-fed pig can reach 7 centimeters or more.
