In summer, when fresh grass is grazed daily, especially if the pasture is rich in herbs, there are no problems with milk yield. The cow is stable and gives a lot of milk with little or no additional effort on the part of the owners. Milk yield drops sharply with the end of the grazing season. In order to get a stable amount of milk in the winter, the cow should be properly fed.
It is necessary
- - high quality feed;
- - water;
- - mineral and vitamin complexes;
- - salt;
- - milking four times a day.
Instructions
Step 1
To increase the yield, feed the cow at least three times a day. The highest milk yield is obtained with high-quality, four-time feeding.
Step 2
Include in the diet a lot of juicy feed, sugar beets or pulp, daily give potatoes, small root crops that you selected for animal feed, cabbage. Do not forget that you can give root crops only in crushed form, since the cow is a ruminant and does not chew food, but swallows and then regurgitates. If you forget to chop the root vegetables, you will have to call the veterinarian due to the fact that the cow will not be able to burp large pieces of vegetables.
Step 3
During the whole winter period, add mineral and vitamin complexes intended for cattle to the mash.
Step 4
Be sure to feed your cow with good quality silage. Milk gets a peculiar smell from rotting spoiled silage. If you made the correct laying and followed all the rules, then the silage turned out to be of high quality. Milk yield from this type of feed increases significantly.
Step 5
Feed your cow with hay, mash, skim milk, buttermilk, or whey. Feed 300-500 g of cake to the animal daily. Add the cake to the mash. It not only increases milk yield, but also increases the quality of milk.
Step 6
In sunny weather, when the frost is no more than 20 degrees, release the cow into a summer enclosure. The sun's rays also increase lactation. In addition, a winter walk increases the animal's appetite, which further increases milk yield and milk quality.
Step 7
Follow the approximate diet for a cow weighing 500-600 kg. Give hay 12 kg, concentrates in the form of a mash - 5 kg per dry product, root crops 20 kg, salt 50 g, chalk 50 g. If you give animals mineral and vitamin complexes, then you can skip chalk.
Step 8
An automatic drinker with clean water with a temperature of at least 15 degrees should always be in the animal's access zone.
