If you decide to create a small corner of the fauna at home, take care of choosing a good house for its future inhabitants. An aquarium can be a wonderful decoration for a room, create an atmosphere of calmness and tranquility. You can choose an aquarium in the store or make one yourself, which will save a lot of money.

Step 1
First, decide on the size. It is better to order glass in a workshop, where a machine will cut them with high precision. Choose a thickness of at least 8 mm, so it will be more reliable.
Step 2
If you have given up processing the edges of the glass, do it yourself using a sharpening bar. Soak the block in water during processing. Use silicone sealant for bonding. Before buying, read the information on the tube, since there are special antifungal sealants on sale that are harmful to living organisms.
For ease of use, buy a special squeeze gun. Before gluing, thoroughly degrease the ends with acetone or alcohol.
Step 3
Take the front wall and evenly squeeze the sealant into the joint, which will bring the wall to the bottom. After applying the glue to the entire length of the wall, place it on the bottom. Do not press too hard, or a lot of glue will come out. Do not remove excess at this stage of the work. Temporarily fix the glued wall. Take the side wall. Squeeze the glue evenly onto the bottom (will be on the bottom) and the side end (will be towards the already standing front glass). Put the glass back in place. Pay attention to the joints to avoid bevels. Make sure the quality of the pressed down layer of silicone. It is not necessary to fix it. Install the remaining glasses in the same way.
Step 4
The aquarium must dry out for at least a day. Glue the stiffeners if necessary. To do this, tip the aquarium onto the side wall. Lubricate the stiffener with glue on three sides. A day later, after the sealant has completely dried, cut off the excess glue at the seams with a simple blade. If you use colorless glue on the inner seams, you do not need to trim.
Fill the aquarium with water to test for leaks and let sit for a few hours. Examine the seams and corners carefully. If water droplets do not come through, you did everything right. The aquarium is ready.
