Step 1
Cut out the meshes. The entire section of the mesh is divided into 3 parts: 200 cm long, 190 cm long and 95 cm long. It is necessary to bend all the sharp ends of the wires at the cuts with pliers. One piece 200 cm long and 100 cm wide will be used as a roof.
Step 2
The remaining pieces are cut horizontally in half so that you get 2 pieces with dimensions of 190x45 cm and two pieces with dimensions of 95x45 cm. A box without a bottom measuring 190x95x45 cm is assembled from them. The pieces are connected together with twists of aluminum wire freely so that when folding, the rectangular structure can easily be transformed into the plate.
Step 3
The roof is placed on a box and simply tied with twine around the perimeter in several places so that there are no obvious holes for cats to enter. Such a cage can be easily transferred from one place to another, without even removing the chicks from it. Part of the roof and side walls should be draped with plastic wrap and any light-colored cloth to protect from too hot sun and wind and rain.

Chick cage for rearing under a lamp. The simplest cage is a modernized cardboard box that was packed with a large TV or refrigerator. The height of the box is made no more than 45 cm so that it can enter the enclosure made of galvanized mesh. A piece of polyethylene is spread at the bottom of the box to the size of the bottom and sawdust or shavings are poured, a deep plate is placed. Any thick-walled glass shade with a flat bottom from street lighting fixtures is taken. An ordinary incandescent lamp with a power of 99 W is lowered into it, but not to the bottom, but so that it hangs. This whole structure is installed in a plate. The lamp should always be on, because it is needed not so much for lighting as for heating.
