Cleaning an aquarium is a laborious and time-consuming process. To a large extent, the complexity of washing depends on the shape of the glass container. To wash the walls of the aquarium, you can use dishwashing sponges, soft cloths, brushes or nylon washcloths. Please note that if your aquarium has a triangular shape, then a regular toothbrush will help you to make your work easier.

First, carefully remove all dirt from the main interior of the aquarium. The use of cleaning agents is not recommended, especially such as dishwashing liquid. Leftovers from such products can harm the health of the fish.

All plants that were in the aquarium, rinse thoroughly with water, remove dead or rotted leaves and plaque. The most difficult task is cleaning the soil. In any specialty store you can purchase a special device called a tedder. With its help, you will be able to deal with dirt and plaque on the stones much faster.
Step 5
The corners of a triangular aquarium are difficult to reach. It is almost impossible to clean them from dirt using ordinary sponges. In this case, an ordinary toothbrush will come to the rescue. With its help, you can easily reach any part of the glass.

Please note that the water filter also needs to be cleaned. This procedure does not have to be done every time the aquarium is washed, but periodic maintenance will not be superfluous.

Do not rush to immediately return the fish to their main home. First, the new water should be infused a little and go through the cleaning process. Only then can the inhabitants be moved back.
