Bathing is not the most important procedure in the life of a toy terrier. It is enough to wash these little funny dogs only once every six months. But this must be done very carefully so as not to harm the pet.
It is necessary
- - 2 small plastic bottles;
- - baby bath;
- - rubber mat;
- - shampoo for dogs;
- - conditioner for dogs;
- - cotton wool;
- - 2 absorbent towels /
Instructions
Step 1
Before you start bathing your toy terrier, be sure to close all the vents in the house. By this action, you will eliminate the possibility of a draft.
Step 2
Using a knife or hot needle, make 5 holes in one of the prepared bottles. Pour shampoo into a container and dilute with a little warm water.
Step 3
Take 2 small pieces of cotton wool and roll 2 balls out of them. Use them to cover your pet's ear canals to prevent them from getting shampoo and water. For added security, you can soak cotton balls in olive oil or sunflower oil. Keep in mind that the oil will only need a couple of drops.
Step 4
Before putting the toy terrier in the bath, put a rubber mat on the bottom to prevent the dog from slipping, and pour some warm water into it. Remember to close the bathroom door tightly to keep it warm. If you are not sure that your pet will stand still while washing, tie him to the mixer or call someone from the household for help.
Step 5
Before applying the shampoo to the dog's coat, thoroughly dampen it with water. The detergent will be evenly distributed only on completely dampened wool. The water in the tub should be warm to the touch. Choose its temperature, observing the pet's reaction. If he shudders under the stream or shifts from paw to paw, the temperature of the water must be changed.
Step 6
Start applying the previously prepared product (a mixture of shampoo and water) from the back of the toy terrier. Only when you distribute it all over the dog's body, start washing its head and the outside of the ears. It is especially unpleasant for a pet to get water on the face. Therefore, be prepared for the fact that he may get nervous.
Step 7
Rinse the toy terrier with clean water, soap it again and rinse off the foam thoroughly. Squeeze out the pet's coat with stroking movements and apply conditioner, previously diluted in another prepared bottle, according to the recommendations on the package. Finally, dry your pet thoroughly with a towel.
