Many people have exotic pets instead of their usual pets. Snails, lizards, newts are no exception. Even with such little favorites, you can have fun.
Instructions
Step 1
Build a playground for your snail. Take a clean cardboard or plastic box. Make sure it is limited to the side, otherwise the snail will escape. Place some damp earth on the bottom of the box. Spread your snail's favorite food on the ground (apples, lettuce, cucumber, grains, seeds)
Place your pet inside a makeshift playground and leave it alone for 10 minutes. The snail will wander in search of food.
Step 2
Play with a snail in your arms. Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly before playing. If you are using concentrated soap, rinse them several times, otherwise the chemicals can harm your pet.
Remove the snail carefully from its permanent habitat. Be careful, snails are very delicate creatures that, when touched, can hide in a house out of fear. Let the pet crawl around your hands for a bit. After a few minutes of playing time, return the snail to its home. Always remember to wash your hands after playing to get rid of mucus.
Step 3
Keep track of your snail's schedule. Most snails are nocturnal.
Make sure you play with your pet while she is awake. Otherwise, the snail will simply remain in its shell and not play with you.
