Any farmer who breeds pigs sooner or later receives offspring from queens. In order for all piglets to survive and grow up healthy and strong, they must be properly maintained. Caring for babies is a responsible business.

Step 1
For the first two weeks after birth, ensure that suckers (as little piglets are called) have unhindered access to breast milk. It happens that some queens give birth to many babies, and the piglets do not have enough nipples. In this case, add "extra" suckers to those pigs with fewer piglets.
Step 2
To raise a healthy offspring, babies need to be fed. For 3-5 days of life, give them crushed chalk, coal, red clay, moistened with a solution of ferrous sulfate (2-3 g of vitriol per 1 liter of hot water). You can moisten the cotton wool with a solution of vitriol and water the piglets with it. Later, when they get stronger, it is better to add it to fresh water, which should be in the drinker at all times.
Step 3
On the 5-6th day after birth, start feeding the suckers with oats, corn, wheat - 20-30 g per day. Also, be sure to add cow's milk to your diet. Start with 50 g per day and gradually increase the dose to 1 L by the time you wean the piglets from the uterus.
Step 4
On the 10th day of life, start feeding your pets with jelly and cereals from barley, oats, corn flour. Add to the menu cake with clover flour, dried yeast, grated carrots, beets and potatoes, mineral feed.
Step 5
The room where the piglets are kept must be clean and dry. Be sure to let the animals go for a walk, first (from the 5th day of life) for 5-10 minutes, then for a longer time, up to 4 hours by the day of weaning from the mother. In winter, suckers can walk at an air temperature of at least minus 15 degrees C.
Step 6
Piglets are weaned from the mother at 2 months. But so that they do not develop stress, for the first 2 weeks keep them in the same room where they were born and lived with the uterus. Then you can transfer to another aviary. Feed 4-5 times a day. When they grow up to six months - 3-4 times a day, for adults - 3 times. Be sure to drink after feeding, provide green grass scalded with boiling water and mixed with other feeds. Bathe piglets in summer, clean every day in winter.
