It is necessary
- - insecticidal shampoo;
- - anti-flea collar;
- - aerosols and drops;
- - alcohol or cologne;
- - brilliant green;
- - anthelmintic drugs;
- - veterinarian consultation.
Instructions
Step 1
To control and prevent fleas in your cat, use an insecticidal shampoo while bathing. Alternatively, you can wear a flea collar on your pet and ventilate it outdoors for two to three days before use. This will protect your pet's skin from irritation with phosphoric acid esters, which are impregnated with almost all collars.
Step 2
In the fight against fleas and lice (wingless insects) in cats, various aerosols and drops applied to the withers of the animal help a lot. Find out in a specialized store about the availability of such funds, read the instructions for use, choosing the safest drugs. Do not use drugs that are intended to treat humans, as you may not only not help, but also harm your cat.
Step 3
If you find a tick on the animal's body, do not try to pull it out with tweezers or fingers. Moisten the parasite with alcohol or cologne, and soon it will disappear by itself. Lubricate the bite site with brilliant green.
Step 4
In addition to the above measures, it is also necessary to take care of protecting the animal from intestinal parasites. For the treatment and prevention of helminthic infestations, there are various specialized preparations for cats. Choose the least toxic ones by consulting pet shop consultants. Observe the instructions for use of medicines for animals, taking into account the age, weight and general condition of the pet. Keep in mind that a single dose of the drug against worms is not enough. Treatments must be carried out twice, maintaining an interval of 10 days between them.
Step 5
For the most advanced forms of the disease, seek help from your veterinarian. In addition to anthelmintic drugs, symptomatic treatment of various side effects of helminthic infestation is often required, namely: the use of laxatives, the introduction of stimulants and saline solutions, etc.
