An active cat usually has no claw problems. They grind off her naturally during walks. But if your cat is sick, inactive, then the claws grow back. They cling to sofa, carpet and other furniture. You can keep your furniture safe and make your cat's life easier with a simple clipping procedure.
It is necessary
- -special scissors for cutting claws, the so-called "nail clippers";
- -special means for stopping blood (a cat has blood vessels in its claw);
- -battle.
Instructions
Step 1
The procedure is best done with a helper: one holds the cat, the other trims. If there is no helper, then we take the cat on our lap. We press our backs to ourselves. Some cats like to trim their claws, and she tolerates this procedure calmly. But if your pet is not happy with the procedure, then you will have to take some measures to keep her. Pet the cat, calm it down, show that you are in a peaceful mood, and your pet has absolutely nothing to fear.
Step 2
The cat's claws are hidden, to stretch them out, gently press down on the finger, holding the pad between the index and thumb.
Step 3
Use the scissors or nail clippers to trim approximately 2 mm. Make an incision across the claw. You cannot make an oblique cut.
Step 4
Repeat this procedure on each finger.
