Cats give a lot of joyful emotions to their owners, but they can also be troublesome. For example, an animal might use your sofa or carpet as its litter box. In order for this not to become a habit, you need to identify the cause of such feline behavior, and immediately remove the unpleasant odor.
It is necessary
- - plain water;
- - 9% table vinegar;
- - baking soda;
- - hydrogen peroxide.
Instructions
Step 1
Proceed as soon as a urine stain is found. If you start the situation, it will be much more difficult to deal with the feline "scent". Moreover, in most cases of smell, the owners themselves are to blame, who do not pay due attention to cleaning. Insufficient cleaning of urinary stains leads to the proliferation of bacteria and to increased "fragrance".
Step 2
First, blot the stained area with a dry cloth or paper towel (toilet paper) to remove excess moisture. But remember that it is categorically impossible to rub the stain or additionally wet it, as the contaminated area will become even larger.
Step 3
Prepare a solution. To do this, mix equal parts water at room temperature and 9% table vinegar. Soak a cloth in the resulting mixture and treat the damaged area.
Step 4
Wait for the treated area to dry, then check for feline odor. If you cannot get rid of it, then sprinkle the stain with baking soda, leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Then fill the dusted area with hydrogen peroxide and wait for it to dry.
Step 5
To fix the result, rinse the cleaned area with warm water and laundry soap.
