Step 1
For starters, it is worth limiting the room in your house in which the dog will be. To do this, in the doorway, install a barrier slightly less than half a meter high, which will serve as an insurmountable obstacle for the dog, while a person can easily step over it. The room must first be prepared for the puppy: remove the carpets and, if possible, rearrange the furniture in such a way as to get rid of hard-to-reach places. By this, firstly, you make it easier for yourself to clean up, and secondly, you enable the animal to understand the boundaries of the territory where it should be.
Step 2
In the room prepared in this way, place the dog's toilet, having previously selected a place for it. Put a piece of cloth soaked in the puppy's urine in it. The smell will serve as a guide for the animal where exactly it is possible to relieve itself.
Step 3
Now watch his behavior closely. Typically, some time after eating, the dog will want to use the toilet. You need to not miss this moment and put the puppy in the right place. Nothing terrible will happen if you do not have time to convey it or the dog still shits on the floor. In this case, you still put him on the toilet, while you can talk to him. This will grab the dog's attention and ultimately make it clear what is required of it.
Step 4
You can close the puppy after he eats in the room where his toilet is located, indicating in such a way what he needs to do.
