For clarity, you can put a piece of paper with the smell of urine on the diaper in the tray so that the puppy does not confuse the purpose of the item.

Get ready, because this work is not for one day and it will take you a couple of weeks. You will need nerves of iron to train your dog to use the toilet at home. After a while, the puppy will definitely get used to the toilet and you will no longer have any problems with this, but this is not a universal solution and you still need to take him outside.
