Many people prefer to buy guinea pigs because of their small stature and the fact that they require less care, and for a child it is a playful and beautiful pet. In addition, guinea pigs are perfectly trainable and no less than other animals can delight their owners with interesting tricks. If you have given your preference to this adorable animal, then a few tips will come in handy.
Instructions
Step 1
Teach your guinea pig to respond to his name. Move away from the cage a short distance so that the pig can hear you well, since you should never raise your voice to the animal.
Step 2
Place a treat near you. Release the guinea pig. Repeat the name of the animal all the time while the pig gets to eat. These actions should be repeated 2-3 times every day.
Step 3
After a few weeks, you will notice that your animal is responding to its name. At your discretion, you can use not a name, but cotton, for example - and then the pig will be able to respond to cotton.
Step 4
Teach your guinea pig to dance. Take the animal's favorite treat in your hand, raise your hand with the treat above the guinea pig's head so that the animal has to rise on its hind legs.
Step 5
Repeat the word "waltz" when the animal is reaching for the treat. At first, it will circle around itself, and later it will be able to stand on its hind legs and circle on them.
Step 6
After a while, the guinea pig will be able to demonstrate similar actions without a treat, even if you just raise your hand and say a familiar word. Remember - after each trick of the animal, you should definitely praise him and present him with his favorite delicacy.
