In addition, two weeks before mating, animals must undergo preventive deworming in order to get rid of possible parasites.
Duration of mating: how long does it take?
Usually, the mating of a cat with a cat lasts no more than thirty seconds and is accompanied by loud cries of the cat, as well as the expressive purring of the cat. At this point, an egg is released from the feline ovaries, which is fertilized within twenty-four hours after mating. Mating can occur five to eight times and end when one of the partners gets tired.
Before mating, it is advisable for animals to trim their claws so that they do not injure each other, and the cat should not be washed, so as not to deprive it of the pheromone smell.
