Step 1
Pick up an aquarium. Depending on the amount of shrimp, it can be either 10-liter or 30-liter.
Step 2
Select a foam filter. You can only use the "neglected" type, because it is the most harmless for shrimp.
Step 3
Buy a large number of plants: moss, thai fern, riccia, dwarf Anubias Bartera, frog vodokras and others.
Step 4
Purchase a temperature controller or fan, depending on the region you live in. They are needed in order to maintain a constant temperature in the range of 21 to 25%.
Step 5
Buy shrimp themselves of different sexes of the corresponding age. The biggest challenge is determining the gender of the shrimp. Cherries reach sexual maturity at 3.5 months and Caridina spp. green - 5 months. To determine their gender, you need to know many nuances, for example, both sexes of shrimp Bees and the genus Crystals have the same body shape. It changes only when they begin to hatch eggs for the first time. In addition, it is very difficult to see their eggs in the early stages.

Once you have made a selection with the genus of shrimp, place them in an aquarium with many secluded spots. Use snails to remove food that has not been eaten. Use the aforementioned Riccia or Frog Vodokras as filters. They will also serve as a source of vital oxygen (riccia). And moss will be food for adults and young individuals. In addition, the plants will create a cozy and secure aquarium.
Step 7
Do not stress the shrimp for several weeks. Feed them food that contains large amounts of fats and proteins: frozen artemidia, high-quality pelleted food, cyclops. Such food is needed so that the females can produce eggs. Do not give too much food - it will not be eaten completely, and the leftovers will rot or snails will eat it, but you are not going to breed them.
Step 8
Wait a bit until you spot pregnant females. This can take days or even weeks. Shrimp caviar is hatched for about 3-4 weeks, and then tiny shrimps emerge from it. They feed on humus or food found in moss. They grow to the size of an adult shrimp in a few months. It depends on the quantity and quality of food and on the change of water (once a week). The change in water leads to their shedding, and this, in turn, stimulates growth. To avoid overcrowding, do not keep adolescents and many fry together.
