The aquarium looks original with a darkened back side. Firstly, the amazing inhabitants of the underwater world are better seen against a dark background. Secondly, the aquarium itself looks more aesthetically pleasing. This effect can be achieved by sticking a film on the back wall of an artificial reservoir.
It is necessary
- - vinyl film;
- - scissors;
- - ruler;
- - pencil;
- - water;
- - rags;
- - sprayer;
- - shampoo or liquid soap;
- - plastic card.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare the aquarium: if it has already been used, drain the water. Then measure the back of the aquarium and transfer the measurements to the back of the vinyl self-adhesive tape (sometimes also called oracal wrap or simply oracle). After that, cut out the film along the outlined contours.
Step 2
Vinyl wrap is glued to the outside of the aquarium. But before sticking it, it is recommended to reduce the oracle on both sides by three millimeters.
Step 3
Wash and dry the outside of the back of the aquarium. Fill the spray bottle with soapy water (you can use liquid soap or shampoo) and shake it several times. After that, spray the solution generously over the entire surface to be prepared.
Step 4
Carefully peel off the backing from the vinyl self-adhesive and apply the oracle to the outside of the back wall of the artificial reservoir. If suddenly the first time it was not possible to evenly apply the self-adhesive film, try again (this is possible precisely due to the fact that the surface is moistened with soapy water).
Step 5
Once you align the top edge of the vinyl to be glued, help is needed (one cannot do the following steps). Pull back the bottom of the self-adhesive tape to prevent it from sticking. At this time, your partner with the help of a plastic card should evenly smooth the film, expelling excess water and air from under it.
Step 6
Do not be afraid to press down on the card; it will not scratch the vinyl. Smoothly expel air and water from the center to the edges, from top to bottom. In general, the whole process of pasting the aquarium will take five to ten minutes.
