Each cat is individual in its own way, has its own habits and tastes. However, any of them requires a cozy place hidden from prying eyes, where you can retire for a while, relax and at the same time feel completely safe. Therefore, a caring owner will think of a place to sleep convenient for his animal in advance.
It is necessary
- - cat's house or basket;
- - toys;
- - scratching post.
Instructions
Step 1
When choosing a place for a cat, keep in mind that these animals prefer secluded places. There they should be cozy, soft, warm and comfortable. Cats often choose boxes, wardrobes, wardrobes, pillows for rest. Therefore, immediately make those places inaccessible to the cat where their stay is undesirable.
Step 2
Decide for yourself whether you will let your cat sleep in bed with you. If you are not against such cohabitation, then do not forget to vaccinate and anthelmintic the animal in time. If you do not want to see a cat on your bed, from the very first days, categorically stop her attempts to climb onto your bed.
Step 3
Buy a basket with low, about 5-10 cm, sides or a special house for the cat. When choosing a house, pay attention to how convenient it is to clean it from wool, how much space it will take in your apartment. Cover the bottom with a soft blanket. In a house with a roof, hang a small ball near the entrance so that the cat can play with it whenever he wants. You can also put a scratching post next to it.
Step 4
Decide where you will put the cat house. It should be far from the entrance to the room, the balcony door. Let this be the most impassable place in the apartment. Make sure there are no drafts. The cat should have constant access to a bowl of food and water and to a litter box.
Step 5
Introduce the cat to her sleeping place. But do not force the animal into it, otherwise the cat will get scared and in the future will refuse to even approach it. Let her sniff the future house, dry herself off and get used to the new place. She must make sure of the reliability and safety of her home. Try to move the house to another place, if the cat refuses to sleep in it, play with her near the house, lure her inside with a toy.
Step 6
Never yell or scold your cat when it is in its sleeping place. You should not get the cat out of the house if she hid in it. The animal definitely needs a place where it will feel protected.
