Step 1
First, give your pet a little familiarity in the new place. After all, for any animal, moving to another apartment is stressful. As for the little hamsters, they already have a very restless disposition. You should not once again injure him with your caresses until he finally gets used to his new home. Be patient.
Step 2
Once your hamster is comfortable and calmer, you can start building contact. Some specimens are extremely sociable and without any outside help will begin to jump into your palm and examine your shoulders and head. Well, there are those who need time to get used to a person, there's nothing you can do about it. You can start by offering your hamster a treat, such as a nut or a piece of candied fruit. Let the animal take the treat straight from your hand. If the shy person still refuses this tempting offer, leave the food in the cage and move away - you do not need to force-feed.
Step 3
The emboldened hamster gradually needs to be tamed to the hands. But you should not grab him right away, let the baby first get used to the idea that your hands will be somewhere nearby and will not cause him any harm. Place your palm close to the hamster and let him examine it. He should get used to the unfamiliar smell, sniff you, and perhaps even try it by mouth. Do not be alarmed and in no case make sudden movements. After some time of such "visits" to the cage, the hamster will definitely allow himself to be taken in his arms.
