Aquarists are busy people. Not only do they have to strictly observe the feeding time of the fish, but they also constantly clean the aquarium, change the water in it and decorate it as far as funds allow. And if a fish offspring appears, then the hassle is added.

Instructions

Step 1

Check if the aquarium is well lit. Both adult guppies and juveniles need as much light as possible. In the first days of the fish's life, the light in the aquarium is not turned off around the clock.

Step 2

Purchase, harvest or grow live food for fry at home in advance. Do not feed them dry food. Firstly, it is difficult to immediately determine its amount, secondly, excess feed can form a film on the surface of the water, and thirdly, such food is still too coarse for them. They can be transferred to dry food when they grow up a little.

Step 3

During the 1st week of life, the fry should be fed 4-5 times a day, in the 2nd - 3-4. Up to 1, 5-2 months, fry must be fed at least three times a day. If you find it difficult to spend most of your time at home, try installing an automatic feeder, but remember that you will have to clean up the leftovers and ensure that there is enough food for everyone.

Step 4

It is best to feed the fry with "dust" (rotifers, nauplii and cyclops) or microworms, independently grown on mashed carrots. The fry can be fed with finely crumbled bloodworms, tubifex or nematode no earlier than the 2nd week of life, only for a very short time and in extreme cases.

Step 5

Instead of live food, guppes can be fed with egg yolk (or omelette), crushed almost in dust, curdled milk, and finely grated cheese. But you should only use them as complementary foods. Please note: egg yolk makes the water in the aquarium cloudy, so it is better to give the fry other baits.

Step 6

Pour boiling water over the curdled milk, wait until the protein curdles, and catch it with a net. Place the squirrel net in the aquarium and shake gently until a cloud of small food particles forms. Cheese (or milk powder) is poured into the aquarium in the same way as any other food.
