In the interval from 40 days to 2-3 months from the moment of hatching of the chick, changes in the color of the beak wax begin. As for the male budgies, it becomes uniform, pink-purple in color. In an adult male parrot, the wax becomes a rich blue color.

In females of a similar age, the supra-beak wax is of a heterogeneous light blue or light beige color with white markings. Also in females, you can see a light edging around the nostrils. As the female parrot matures, the waxworm becomes bright brown. Pay attention to the paws of the birds as well. They are bluish in males, pink in females.

Observe the behavior of your pets as well. It can also tell you about the sex of the chick. Male budgies are usually more active and sociable. They draw attention to themselves, make noise, sing loudly. They can be easily taught to speak if exercised regularly.
