Step 2
Each time, the dog will develop a reflex, and it will give you a paw on its own. If she cannot understand the command, then repeat and slightly nudge her paw. After doing the trick, do not forget to praise the dog. Over time, the dog will understand what you want from it, and you will no longer have to raise its paw yourself.
Step 3
After your pet will carry out the command itself, you can complicate it by adding "give the other paw" to it. If you don’t want to stop there, you can teach your pet the commands "give the left paw" and "give the right paw". This is done according to the same principle as with one paw. First, we ask you to give the one that he used to serve, and then the other. If he gives the wrong paw, you need to gently nudge the one you need, then give him a treat.
