Allergy is a common disease not only in humans, but also in animals. It manifests itself when the immune system rejects a substance that it considers dangerous. This reaction of the body has a number of symptoms.

Instructions

Step 1

The external manifestation of allergies speaks of complications occurring inside the body. The pet behaves restlessly, itches constantly. Redness, skin breakouts and dandruff may occur. Due to constant scratching, bald spots appear, as the hair falls off.

Step 2

In 40% of cases, dog allergies are caused by food that contains harmful substances: bromine, iodine. The dog cannot be fed with chocolate, sweets, smoked meats and pickles. Allergies are most often caused by the following products: poultry, fish and fish oil, dairy products, eggs, soy, citrus fruits, red vegetables. Such a reaction of the body can appear due to purchased dog food. The manufacturer does not always produce products that meet all standards and norms. The dog may have an individual intolerance to some of the components that make up the food.

Step 3

Medicines also provoke an allergic reaction. Medicines based on beeswax, live bacteria, pollen, brewer's yeast very often cause itching and rashes on the dog's body. The pet may experience: frequent urination and defecation, discharge from the eyes and nose, cyanosis of the gums, difficulty breathing.

Step 4

Poor quality shampoo can cause contact dermatitis, which is a type of allergy. Dandruff, itching and flaking of the skin are caused by insect bites (fleas, flares, midges, mosquitoes). Infectious allergy is a consequence of the habitat in the body of parasites, bacteria, pathogenic viruses and fungi. Due to allergies, a dog may experience swelling of the mucous membranes, disrupt the digestion process, and even have attacks of bronchial asthma.

Step 5

It may take a while to find out if a dog has an allergy. Sometimes symptoms appear after a few days or weeks. Allergies can be overcome by changing the wrong shampoo, stopping medication, and removing parasites. But food allergy is not so easy to cure, since the body's defense reaction does not arise to a specific product, but to some substance that is part of it.
