Dobermans are strong, agile, hardy, graceful and loyal to their owners. Despite the fact that the Doberman is an excellent hunter of small animals, an excellent watchdog and fighter, for many people, first of all, he is a loyal friend and family member. Choosing a Doberman puppy, like any other purebred dog, must be correct.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, decide who you would like to see in your home: the winner of the largest exhibitions, a reliable protector, a companion, or just a true friend. But at the same time, remember that first of all your puppy should become a brave and healthy dog with a good balanced psyche.
Step 2
Choose the sex of the Doberman puppy at your discretion. If you want to see an affectionate, gentle and attentive dog in your house, give preference to a girl. If you dream of a tall, stately, formidable companion, no doubt choose a Doberman dog.
Step 3
Ask the breeder about the habits and personality traits of each baby for sale. With this information, you can conclude how the puppy will grow up.
Step 4
Look very carefully at the appearance of all Doberman puppies presented by the breeder. If they are all clean, well-groomed, with a shiny coat, choose the baby you like the most.
Step 5
Make sure the puppy you like is absolutely healthy. White spots on the skin, light eyes, twisted limbs are the most common defects in Dobermans. Be sure to see if your puppy has an umbilical hernia. A hernia is not a malformation of the Doberman, but its presence in a dog is highly undesirable.
Step 6
Remember that a good Doberman puppy must have a strong bone, a wide back and chest, an almost square body, a rather long neck, wide jaws, a well-defined chin and dark eyes. A bright tan in a Doberman puppy is the first sign of a good immune system. You will recognize a healthy baby by clear eyes, shiny coat, good appetite, mobility and cheerfulness.
