The tray can be purchased at the pet store or made from any suitable container with low sides. The dog should be able to easily climb into the tray and fit freely in it. Place paper or old newspapers on the bottom of the tray.

If your pet is not eager to go to the tray, then you can try to make the toilet as follows: lay an old oilcloth or a piece of cellophane, cover it with newspaper. Instead of oilcloth, you can purchase disposable diapers at the pharmacy, which are convenient to change as they become dirty.
