For some people, the Siberian cat is just an affectionate pet. Others give birth to these beautiful graceful animals to create a successful show career. To take a prize at the show, the owner must carefully prepare his pet for this important and responsible event.

Step 1
Start an exhibition career of a Siberian cat from 4-5 months of age of the animal, in order to allow him to get used to such events. A playful and sociable cat at shows always has a better chance of winning than a withdrawn and shy one.
Step 2
To take part in the exhibition, the owner of a Siberian cat must take care of the obligatory timely vaccination of his pet. All vaccination marks must be in the veterinary passport of the Siberian.
Step 3
Not earlier than 3 days before the start of the exhibition, contact the district veterinary station for a special certificate of examination of your pet, refuting the presence of any diseases in the Siberian cat.
Step 4
Take care of purchasing a carrier that is comfortable for you and your pet. Give preference to the plastic model. It can get hot in the cloth bag of a fluffy Siberian cat.
Step 5
A week before the start of the show, thoroughly wash your Siberian cat with a special shampoo, which will give its coat brightness and volume. Choose the right product in accordance with the color of the pet. Use a whitening shampoo to wash white Siberian cats. Also use a textured product, a texture-improving agent, and a special dry powder for cats.
Step 6
Do not forget to carefully comb the Siberian cat with a special comb with metal rotating teeth and clean its ears with cotton swabs.
Step 7
It will not be superfluous to give the Siberian cat a drink with special sedatives a week before the show, of course, after consulting a veterinarian before that. This is necessary in order to avoid unnecessary excitement of the pet during the exhibition events.
Step 8
Be sure to feed your Siberian cat, but no later than 2 hours before the show. Many judges like to take the animals participating in the show in their hands, as if weighing them. The animal must be heavy and muscular, especially if it is a cat.
