In most cases, a male jersey is crossed with other breeds to increase the fat content and saturation of the final product. Many farmers prefer to have at least a couple of representatives of this breed in their backyard for the development of the constitution and fertility.

This breed is dairy, so it makes no sense to talk about the specific gravity. Due to their mixed nature, such cows often undergo external changes due to constant development, which has both positive and negative sides in its key.

Due to the high fat content of milk, yellow clots appear on the surface, which distinguish this breed in the final product from other representatives.

It is also important to note a significant amount of milk yield. This is more than three thousand kilograms per year per head. However, as already mentioned, the jersey cow is significantly inferior in terms of meat quality, since it belongs to the dairy cows.
