Mate at the right time of the day. In the spring and summer, it is better to do this in the morning and in the evening, and in the winter and autumn - in the afternoon. However, if your rabbits are kept in a climate controlled environment, mating can be done at almost any time of the day.
Step 2
Find the right mate. Males should be healthy and active. It is better to discard sedentary phlegmatic people immediately, not allowing them to mate. The male must be at least 6-7 months old. Females can be allowed to mate already at the age of about 4-5 months, if their weight is more than three kilograms. Before mating, invite your veterinarian 10-15 days before mating and do a full checkup to select the best breeds.

Carry out the mating as soon as possible, it is better that this happens no more than 5-6 days, so you can get friendly marriages, and this will help take care of the rabbits.
Step 4
Put the rabbit, in whom the state of sexual heat has begun, to the male, but not vice versa. Sexual heat can be determined by the behavior of the female. At this time, she becomes restless, refuses to feed, and when stroking it takes a special position, lifting the back, her external genital organs noticeably redden. Sexual hunt lasts up to about 5 days.
Step 5
Remove the feeder and drinker from the cage at the time of mating.
Step 6
Transfer the covered rabbit to another cage immediately. If the rabbit did not accept the male, then after a few hours the mating attempt can be repeated. If this does not help, just add her to another, backup, male.
Step 7
13-17 days after the mating occurred, conduct an early diagnosis to find out if a pregnancy has occurred. Place the female with her head towards you and hold her with her left hand. With your right hand, very carefully feel the pelvic cavity through the abdominal wall.
Step 8
If pregnancy has not occurred, repeat the mating after a while. If the fertility does not occur a second time, the female is discarded.
