The presence of a microchip in an animal can greatly facilitate its search if the pet accidentally disappears. People who find a pet will be able to take it to a veterinary hospital, where they read the information from the chip with the help of a scanner, where the owner's name is written.
The EU directive states that pets that cross EU borders must be microchipped. In veterinary clinics, all medical records and routine vaccinations will soon have microchip numbers, so the doctor will instantly determine what procedure your pet needs.
The presence of the chip is also necessary for research in the wild to track the location of the chipped individual.
