Breeding parrots is not only interesting, but also troublesome. Choose the right cage, monitor their behavior and, of course, not be mistaken with the choice of the partners themselves. Having made these steps competently and in a timely manner, after a while you can expect beautiful wavy offspring.
It is necessary
- - boxes for nesting
- - crushed shell
- - grated chalk
- - sawdust
Instructions
Step 1
Pick up male and female parrots. In this case, the correct choice of partners is the main condition for successful reproduction. Married couples can recognize each other from the crowd and are always together. Therefore, it is extremely important, when choosing from young animals, to notice the already formed pairs and plant them in one cage.
Step 2
Organize nesting. Currently, three types of nests are used: horizontal, vertical and compromise. The vertical drawer is quite small. Its dimensions are 15x15x25 cm, where 25 cm is the height. The entrance is 4-5 cm in diameter and is 3 cm from the top edge. A round depression is made in the center of the bottom, with a depth of one to two centimeters in the middle. On the perch, the male feeds the female, and then the chicks. The horizontal drawer has dimensions of 25x15x15 cm, and a step of 3x10 cm is made inside.
Step 3
Choose compromise nesting to avoid possible damage to clutches or hatched chicks when the female enters. It is quite large and does not allow chicks to leave the nest prematurely.
Step 4
During the nesting period, crushed eggshells and grated chalk must be placed in the cage. The female needs a lot of phosphorus and calcium during laying.
Step 5
Watch out for the parrots by placing them in the cage. The condition of the parrots gives a very high degree of success. Good condition in the male is manifested in the blue color of the wax and chin, a keen gaze and a proud body position. The female has a brown wax and chin.
